I finally finished!! Well, almost -there are still 3 compressed files uploading ATM. XD

If you are a musical nut, like me, feel free to roam and download any track of Smallville's musical history. I don't have them ALL, but I'm pretty close. ;) They are uploaded at Twittville's Forum as individual tracks and compressed files per season.

As for Season 10, I'll be updating as we go. And at the end of the season (SADNESS), I'll upload the .RAR file. As soon as all the compressed files are uploaded I'll post the link at Twittville's Blog.

I was just too excited that the individual tracks were all posted, so I had to share!! *hugs*

Ready? Click here!

Between Love and Reality

Hello Readers!!

If you are into RPFs you should read my latest story: Between Love and Reality. It's a work in progress so I invite you to bear with me. I finished my novel. I guess procrastination has nothing on me (yeah right!!).

I still need to refine some of the scenes and check on some grammar/spelling, since I wrote most of it in English. Yes, you got that right: most of it. At times I was falling behind and I just started writing in Spanish right away, need to fix that. This was one incredible experience and I dare to say adventure.

I seriously doubted at one point, staring at the blinking cursor, blocked mind and all. Thanks to all my friends who encourage me to finish this, especially Is. Lots of love your way friends!! *hugs*

As for the novel, I will posted it on a separate blog, chapter by chapter as I finish editing.

Thanks people of #NaNoWriMo and YAY ME!!!! These amazing friends share an undeniable passion for all things Smallville and Superman, as well as a huge love for their fellow tweeps. I feel more than happy to be part of this family, which has been growing insanely with the start of Smallville’s final season *sobs*. I just wanted to say “Thank You” and express how lucky I consider myself for having them in my life. I don’t need to name them, because they know exactly who they are. *hugs* You will always have a special place in my heart. Far from defeated, but very hurt, Jor-El's brother contemplates the idea of seeking medical attention before he arrives to Argo City, but he desists. The author contrasts Krypton's capital grand metropolitan features, with the warmth and tropical mist that transpire Argo City. As soon as Zor-El gets home, his wife, Alura (a botanical expert) welcomes him. He tries to unwind all his scientific findings to Alura, but she charms him into rest first. Alura knows exactly what to do with her hurt husband in times like this. She immediately arranges a botanical cocktail to heal his wounded body. When Zor-El wakes up, he is still somewhat weak and hurting, but visibly in better condition. Soon he tells Alura about the plante's core instability and how urgent it is to discuss this matter with Jor-El. Once more, Alura persuade him to stay put until his body is restored and he accepts. A few days later his is on his way to Kandor, another mission in hand: share his knowledge with his brother and take the matter to a higher authority.

The Last Days of Krypton – Chapter 9

The first part of this chapter focuses on Nam-Ek's past. Apparently, he was not just Zod’s subordinate, but almost like a son to him. Nam-Ek is a big and strong man, a mute and an animal lover. His father went berserk when he was a kid, killed his mother and his two sisters. When he when after him, Nam-Ek took refuge in the barn along the gurns and survived miraculously until the Sapphire Guards showed and apprehended the mad man. Gurns are sturdy, smelly and furry animals with little horns like knobs. One can think of gurns as Banthas (Tatooine native elephant-like creatures), but smaller in size and with shorter horns. Nam-Ek is maiking his way to Kandor’s prison, a maximum security complex, to take revenge. Earlier in Chapter 6, the Council had condemned a criminal, Bel-Ek, for the brutal murder of a few animals at the zoo. And Nam-Ek, being an animal lover as it is, went seeking justice. The second part of the chapter describes the savage way Nam-Ek tortured an killed the man, in his own cell. He deceives the prison guards and assassinates Bel-Ek cruelly and cold blooded, as his master had shown him. To his favor, nobody would ever suspected of him committing that horrible kind of crime: not the poor traumatized mute kid.

The Last Days of Krypton - Chapter 8

The review for this chapter will be a little longer because a lot of good stuff is going on. After Jor-El exits Zod's office, he reveals excitement on the great discovery before his eyes. Calling Nam-Ek, a mute and loyal subordinate, Zod orders the artifact to be taken to his secret chamber and to bring a servant to test the Phantom Zone. Now this is an interesting twist. The accusations of that fourth-level assistant, back in Chapter 4, turned out to be true. Zod keeps all inventions and discoveries that seem worthy to him -secretly stashed in his office- out of reach for everyone but him. Along his inventory there are lots of Jor-El's creations, like a powerful burning ray (Rao beam), memory crystals, powerful engines and self-levitating daggers. This chapter also deepens on Zod's resentment towards the Council for not giving him his father chair when his father died. Zod orders Nam-Ek to throw the servant into the portal and he observes how the man looked as if squashed into a plane crystal and lost into the nothingness. This is my favorite part because it takes me to Donner movies (again) and to Smallville. While the Smallville version uses the Knowledge Crystal instead of the silver hovering rings, it parallels the journey inside the dimensional plane. Also we see the memory crystals, used to teach baby Kal-El the knowledge of the 28 known galaxies and the engine that eventually will facilitate his travel to Earth. Back to the chapter, for witnessing all that, Zod is ecstatic, but he comes to worry when remembers that someone already discovered his secret chamber before. To solve this, he gives Nam-Ek a map and orders him to move everything form his office to a bunker he prepared far away.

The Last Days of Krypton - Chapter 7

In contrast with the majestic appearance of the government buildings, the Commission for Technology Accpetances was not an ostentatious building. This states the inferiority of Zod to the Council itself, a detail that does not goes unnoticed by him. The author presents the civilized rivalry between Jor-El and Dru-Zod, pointing that the latter will "approve to be suitable for Krypton" or not Jor-El's inventions -and scientific discoveries.Nonetheless Zod respects Jor-El and his unimpeachable character. Finally Jor-El presents the Phantom Zone and its practical use to Zod. After long questioning, Zod decides that it is not safe to use it yet, and demands that it be released to him, along with its blueprint and all related information. Defeated and somewhat frustrated, Jor-El warns Zod that he will keep trying to get the Council's approval for his inventions.

The Last Days of Krypton - Chapter 6

Jor-El starts his journey towards the Commission of Technology Acceptance, with his latest discovery: a portal to nowhere. He cruises within Krypton's capital city, Kandor, and though his mind sees everything in terms of science and math, Jor-El is dazzled by its beauty and splendor. He also ponders on what his approach to Commissioner Zod will be, so he won't be turned down like he has many times before. While he waits for Zod, he enters in a Council session, witnessing the damage that closed minds can cause to a rich and underestimated civilization. The most important thing that happens in this chapter is that Jor-El finds out that his dreaded Phantom Zone discovery can be put to good use, to exile criminals away for life.

The Last Days of Krypton - Chapter 5

Back in Chapter 1, the author compares Jor-El and Zor-El as phisicaly different but sharing that same hunger for knowledge and science. In this chapter we learn that while Jor-El's passion lays within celestial bodies, Zor-El's enthusiasm lays within soil layers. He investigates the latest geological activity, a core radioactive shifting that worries him deeply. Zor-El makes another interesting discovery, a "bright emerald green new mineral compound", what I believe we will call Kryptonite in the near future. He thinks of contacting his brother's assistance on the matter, because he fears this "core activity" is leading to a planetary disaster. This could not be ignored any longer. On his way out, Zor-El disturbed a pack of hrakkas, the hungry lizards give him a hard time, but he eventually triumphs over them. Finally, he starts his journey back home to Argo City, wounded, ecstatic and furthermost preoccupied for the safety of his people. In my opinion this chapter complements what was said in the first chapter about Krypton's changing environment. Jor-El discovers the fury of Rao sun storms touching Krypton's skies and his brother, Zor-El, discovers the fury is being released from the planet's very heart.

The Last Days of Krypton - Chapter 4

Now the author introduce us to Dru-Zod, head of the Commission for Technology Acceptance. Zod is pretty much as we have always known him: smart and powerful, but cold and calculating. At this time he is at Kandor's grand stadium, waiting for a hakkra race to begin. Hakkras are strong short-legged lizards, kind of like Boga, the one Obi-Wan Kenobi rides in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Apparently Zod is not too found of these events, but uses them as a public relation strategy. He is only interested in defying Kryptonian's comfortable and peaceful behavior, both openly and anonymously. A fourth-level assistant accuses Zod publicly of keeping the artifacts considered dangerous and ordered for destruction by the Commission. Zod denies skillfully this statement and gets ride effectively of his accuser. There is only one moment when Zod shows a tiny spec of guilt for his actions, towards the creatures he brutally unleashed to finish the rebellion. They will also be terminated by the Council. But as I said it's only one drop of goodness in a sea of evil. The kind that deceives good people in believing the cruelest murder is just an accident.

The Last Days of Krypton - Chapter 3

This is a particularly interesting chapter. The author introduces more of Krypton's history, culture and religion. All that entwined with a journey of future love. Jor-El has invited Lara over dinner as a way of thanking her. He finds surprising how extraordinarily easy is to talk to Lara. She on the other hand enjoys his attentive company. Between dinner and conversations, Jor-El and Lara gaze into Krypton’s beautifully painted sky, discovering how both share passion for knowledge and invention. The author introduces Jax-Ur story, a tale that explains the destruction of Koron, one of Kryton’s moons, and the creation of the Seven Armies. It also explains why the Council has sealed the planet from external influences. And then there is this quote: “Look at us – an artist and a scientist…” pretty self explanatory!! As they finish their nocturnal activities, Jor-El’s mind hovers over the idea of putting the Phantom Zone to good use. To do that, he needs to convince the Commission of Technology Acceptance (subscribed to the Council) lead by Commissioner Zod.

The Last Days of Krypton - Chapter 2

In this chapter the author introduces Lara, an accomplished artist, historian and aspiring writer. He describes Lara's beauty and independent spirit, with the same care on detail he did Jor-El's portrayal. At this time Lara and her parents are painting murals on Jor-El' state. Lara notes 12 blank obelisks and wants to paint them in her unique way. Seeking Jor-El's permission for such task, she enters his amazing laboratory and finds him trapped in the Phantom Zone. I loved how, despite their obvious "professional" differences, Jor-El and Lara achieve their purpose: rescuing Jor-El. Even if you don't know they will end up together, the way the author illustrates their first look and touch, immediately gives you the "love at first sight" vibe. Jor-El is ecstatic because of his recent dimensional experience and Lara completes her task asking Jor-El about the obelisks.

The Last Days of Krypton - Chapter 1

It starts describing the magnificence of Krypton's red sun. Then it describes, in rich detail, Jor-El, Krypton's most revered scientist. The author portrays Jor-El as highly intelligent, but also as somewhat lonely. He mentions Zor-El, Jor-El's brother, whose also a competent scientist and leader of Argo City. What I like the most about this chapter is how Jor-El, being an upright man, caves in his hunger for discovery. Therefore he does things his people wouldn't approve. Jor-El has created a device that opens a portal to the Phantom Zone, much like depicted in Donner' Superman movies with the silver hovering rings. Now this Phantom Zone (for Smallville fans) is not like we see in the series. It is a limbo with no land or sky (or anything actually) and where nobody can hear you. Giving into his curiosity, Jor-El crosses the portal and is now trapped inside the nothingness, helpless and alone.
